The news comes from Gematsu, which reported the console launch date. Here’s what that means for fans of relaxing games.
Hozy release date on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
The date is locked in: November 9, 2026. Both console versions arrive on the same day, so nobody has to feel left out depending on which box sits under their TV. That’s not a given with indie ports, where one platform often trails the other by weeks or months, so the simultaneous launch is a nice touch.
The game is published by tinyBuild and developed by Come On Games. tinyBuild has a long track record of bringing smaller, quirky games to a wide audience, and a calm sim like this one fits that catalog well.
Why Hozy fits the cozy console crowd
Hozy is built around renovating and cleaning spaces, with no timers breathing down your neck and no fail states to worry about. It’s the kind of game you boot up after a long day to turn something messy into something lovely, one room at a time.
Honestly, that loop works better on a couch than at a desk. Cozy sims thrive when you can lean back with a controller, put a podcast on, and let the satisfying little tasks carry you. Console players have plenty of action games and live-service grinds to choose from, but relaxing, low-pressure picks are still easier to count. Hozy slots into that gap right as the busy holiday release season ramps up, and a quiet game can be a welcome break from all the loud ones.
Release timing matters here too. Landing in early November means Hozy avoids the worst of the late-month crush, and it gives cozy fans something fresh to sink into before the big blockbusters take over the conversation.
