A Tower Full of Cats release date and price
Here’s the short version: October 28, 2026 is the day for Nintendo Switch 2, and the price is $5.99. That’s less than most people spend on a coffee, which makes the pitch easy. You don’t have to wait for a sale or agonize over whether it’s worth it.
Low prices like this are a big part of why small indie games work so well on Nintendo hardware. Nobody expects a 60-hour epic at $5.99. You expect a pleasant, focused experience you can pick up in short sessions, and that seems to be exactly what this one is going for.
Why A Tower Full of Cats suits Nintendo Switch 2
The concept is simple: it’s a cozy hidden-object game, and the hook is right there in the title. Cats are hiding, and you’re the one who has to find them. It’s a gentle, low-pressure idea, and it fits the way a lot of people use a handheld. You can play for ten minutes on the couch, in bed or on a commute, then put it down without losing any momentum.
Honestly, I like that it isn’t trying to be anything more than it is. The market is full of games that want to be your next hundred-hour obsession. A cat-spotting game at a budget price feels refreshingly modest, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want between bigger releases.
If you’re building up your Switch 2 library this season, it’s also an easy add-on. Our piece on the Look Outside release date covers another console launch worth keeping an eye on, and it makes for a very different mood from this one.
